Mr. Toshihiro Miyakoshi, Chief Executive Officer of G J Steel Public Company Limited, together with the company's executives and employees, participated in the HRC Pickled & Oiled Coil Handover Ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the company's growth and product development journey.

This achievement represents the first commercial production of value-added products beyond the company's core hot-rolled steel coil offerings, further strengthening G J Steel's product portfolio and expanding its presence in manufacturing industries, including automotive, home appliances, industrial machinery, and steel pipes, while enhancing its ability to meet diverse customer requirements. G Steel Public Company Limited and G J Steel Public Company Limited will continue to strengthen the integrated local steel production system in Thailand in collaboration with other Nippon Steel Group companies, thereby contributing to the development of Thailand’s industrial sector.

Hot Rolled Coil Pickled and Oiled (HRC P&O) undergoes a specialized process in which oxide scale and surface impurities are removed, followed by the application of protective oil coating to prevent corrosion. This process results in a clean, smooth surface with excellent paint ability, making the product well suited for applications in the automotive, furniture, and steel pipe industries.

In line with G J Steel's commitment to sustainability, the HRC P&O coils are produced primarily from recycled steel scrap using an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) process. This environmentally responsible production method helps reduce carbon emissions and improves energy efficiency compared with conventional steelmaking processes.

The ceremony was held at the G J Steel manufacturing facility in Chonburi, celebrating another important step in the company's continued commitment to innovation, customer value, and sustainable steel production.
